Sir Bernard Callinan Bar

Situated on Level 4 of the Reserve, the Sir Bernard Callinan Bar is presented in a bright and spacious area, perfect for sharing a drink or two with friends.

In his five-year term as MCC president (1980-85), Sir Bernard Callinan embraced the most diverse expansionary program in the Club's history to that time.

Notable landmarks during his presidency included the installation of light towers and the first electronic scoreboard, the admission of women to full membership and commencement of work on the Australian Gallery of Sport.

His resolute advocacy of the rights of members did much to ensure that the VFL Grand Final continued to be played at the MCG.
