Volunteering at the MCG can be an extremely rewarding experience, with hundreds of thousands of people coming from all over the world to visit each year.
We welcome expressions of interest from prospective volunteers to support the operation of the Australian Sports Museum at the MCG.Volunteers will work as part of an overall team, including full-time and part-time staff, and with other volunteer MCG Guides operating our stadiumtours.
Volunteer roles for the Australian Sports Museum include:
- assisting visitors with information and directions within gallery spaces.
- visitor reception, logistics support and control.
- supervising interactive activities.
- supervision/guiding of group activities, including school groups.
- basic administrative duties.
- shifts for volunteers are scheduled based on morning and afternoon shift times.
Volunteers may also be sought to assist during sports events or other MCG-related activities linked to the Australian Sports Museum.
