The following MCC Code of Conduct has been developed to help provide clear guidance on the standards and behaviours expected of both members and their guests.
The Code outlines in clear and simple terms the shared standards that members agree to uphold in order to protect the integrity of the Club and ensure a safe, respectful environment for all. It also serves as a useful reminder of the behaviours and actions which are deemed unacceptable and may result in disciplinary action. The MCC Penalty Guide is also provided to help inform and educate members about the Club’s expected standards and disciplinary process.
The MCC appreciates members support of the Code and Penalty Guide.

2025 Member Disciplinary committee (MDC) meetings and data
Total cases heard since February - July, 2025Member Disciplinary Committee Meeting - February 2025

The majority of cases heard at this meeting were related to membership card or ticketing misuse, with the most common duration of penalty being 24 months. There was a notable trend in misuse of ticketing privileges with member reserve seat upgrades tickets (which are linked to a membership) attempted to be used by non-members to gain access to the Members’ Reserve.
Member Disciplinary Committee Meeting - March 2025

A smaller meeting in March with some complicated cases to manage with all but one case dealing with member misconduct.
Member Disciplinary Committee Meeting - April 2025

A very busy meeting in April and we launched into the AFL season for 2025 with some very busy matches, including a triple header and a quadruple header weekend. There were over 10 cases of misconduct, but the meeting was strongly dominated by card misuse and member upgrade ticketing misuse. The trend of member reserve seat upgrades tickets (which are linked to a membership) attempted to be used by non-members to gain access to the Members’ Reserve continued to be a key theme and the MDC wanted to highlight to members the importance of keeping your barcode secure and using your membership card to scan in for entry at Gate 2.
Member Disciplinary Committee Meeting - May 2025

Another busy meeting in May that was heavily skewed with card misuse and member reserve seat upgrade ticket misuse. The MDC encourage stronger communication to members to ensure that are aware that they must use their physical membership card or their membership card via the MCC App for entry.
Member Disciplinary Committee Meeting - June 2025

This meeting saw an increase in the number of underage patrons with fake identifications. The use of a fake identification in a licenced premise is strictly prohibited and the Club want to remind all members and their guests of the seriousness of this breach.
There were less member upgrade ticket misuse cases this month, which was pleasing for the MDC, however the misuse of membership cards increased. An important reminder from the MDC that membership cards are strictly non-transferable.
Member Disciplinary Committee Meeting - July 2025

This meeting saw a number of cases for waiting list candidates, as well as a mix of membership card misuse and member reserve upgrade ticket misuse. The MDC remind those on the waiting list that they are subject to the Club rules when accessing the Members Reserve.
