Doctor’s in the house

World renowned sports medicine clinician and Australian cricket team doctor, Peter Brukner, will be one of our special guests at the MCC Sport and Business Lunch on Wednesday September 9 in the Committee Room.

Now in its third year, the lunch will contain a sports medicine theme and few in Australian sport are better qualified.

A specialist sports and exercise physician and the founding partner at the Olympic Park Sports Medicine Centre, Dr Brukner has been team physician for AFL clubs such as Melbourne and Collingwood, as well as national athletics, swimming, soccer and men’s hockey teams and Liverpool FC.  

He was an Australian team physician at the Atlanta Olympics and team manager of the Australian athletics team at the Sydney Olympics. Brukner was also the Socceroos team doctor for the 2010 World Cup campaign and is presently in the UK with Michael Clarke’s team during its Ashes defence.

This two-course lunch with beverages with fellow members and guests is an excellent opportunity to get up close with some of Australian sport’s most influential administrators and network with fellow members and business professionals.
