For the fifth consecutive year, the MCC will partner with Melbourne City Mission for Sleep at the ‘G on Thursday May 4, an event designed to raise money and awareness of the issue of youth homelessness in Victoria.
Thousands of young people have no place to call home every night in Victoria. Sleep at the ’G is Melbourne’s response to this tragedy – and you and your team are invited to be a part of it.When you register your team to Sleep at the ’G, you’ll join 1000 others braving the cold while spending a great night in an iconic venue. Best of all, you’ll raise funds to help end youth homelessness. And that means you’ll keep young people safe, warm and housed this winter.
The aim of the event is to give participants a taste of the experience faced by thousands of homeless people each night by providing an opportunity to sleep out in the elements, albeit within the confines of a stadium.
Since its inception, the event has raised almost $2 million, and we hope MCC members can get behind this worthy cause again in 2017.
