It was with sadness that we advise of the passing of Dr Andrew Varigos, who was featured in the previous edition of MCC News.
Dr Varigos died in early-October at the ripe old age of 100 and was the club’s third-oldest member, having celebrated his birthday milestone with family in the Long Room in March.
His three children, sons John and George and daughter Euahna, are Full members and his grandson, Andrew, is a Restricted member.
As these tables show, Robert Halliday and Charles Geer are now the only two members who have made it to a century, with Trevor Burgess due to join them on Boxing Day next year.
Kenneth McKenzie is our longest-serving member, having joined the club way back in October 1931.
