MCG event staff will now be even easier to find on match days, thanks to a bold new uniform that was unveiled on grand final day.

Designed to strike a balance between professional, approachable and practical, event day staff around the stadium have traded in the familiar green gear that has been in use since 2006 for a bright orange and navy combination, while those in the MCC Reserve will also sport an updated look.

With events hosted all year round in a variety of weather conditions – from freezing cold Friday night footy to scorching summer days of cricket – much thought went into choosing fabrics and items that could provide comfort in all conditions.

Working with designers from Dallen and consulting directly with staff, a range of lightweight yet warm materials was selected to create a collection of pieces designed for layering.

Staff can choose a long or short sleeve polo shirt, as well as adding or removing items such as a puffy vest, gloves or weather-proof jacket depending on the weather of the day.

Our event staff have an incredibly active and visible role to play in patrons’ overall MCG experience and we look forward to seeing how this latest design is received.
