The Melbourne Cricket Club is excited to welcome you into the Members’ Reserve for the 2023 AFL Finals Series Semi Final between Melbourne and Carlton.

For access to this match, members must have paid their renewal for the 2023/24 membership season (which commenced on September 1, 2023) for their membership card to be valid.

This match is available to Full and Restricted members and their visitors only (maximum of one visitor ticket per member). Members of interstate and domestic reciprocal clubs and venues to not have access to this match.

Access Entitlements

The following access entitlements have been set in accordance with attendance estimates and expected demand of amenities by members. Please note: Provisional members will not have access to the Members' Reserve for this match.

Tickets

Reserved Seats and Visitor tickets are now sold out for the MCC Reserve for the First Semi Final between Melbourne and Carlton on Friday September 15. No additional visitor tickets will be available for this match. 

Full and Restricted Members who have not reserved a seat will still be able to access unreserved seating and standing room in the MCC Reserve on the day of the match by scanning their membership card at Gate 2.

Full and Restricted members can access the Members' Reserve free-of-charge by scanning their membership card at Gate 2, subject to capacity.

Prices are inclusive of all fees and GST except for a $8.30 transaction fee applicable to all transactions requiring payment.


Please note: Due to the expected high demand from members to attend this match, there will be a limited amount of visitor tickets available.

Children aged 6-14 at date of ticket purchase are eligible to purchase a junior ticket. Children under the age of 6 are admitted free into the MCC Members' Reserve as long as they do not occupy a seat. If they wish to purchase a seat, this can be purchased at the junior ticket rate.

ACCESSIBLE SEATING
Reserved seating for patrons with accessible needs, including wheelchair spaces, and their carers (with a companion card) is available to MCC members via Ticketek by completing this online form.

Members can complete the online request form immediately. Requests will be processed by Ticketek in order of receipt. If successful, members will be contacted to proceed with the booking within 48 hours of the on-sale. If the accessible seating allocation has been exhausted, Ticketek will notify members directly and advise the unreserved areas available.

Unreserved Seating

A dedicated amount of unreserved seating will be available on Levels 1, 2 and 3 for Full & Restricted members in the Members’ Reserve.

Once you have selected your unreserved seat on Levels 1, 2 or 3, an MCC staff member will issue you with a reserved seat ticket for this match.

For this match, dining reservations are available in the Members’ Dining Room, Jim Stynes Grill and Lucy Liu Lounge.  

The registration period for this event will open at 9.00am Tuesday September 12 to 5.00pm Tuesday September 12..

Please note: before applying for a guest in your dining application, please ensure you have already secured them a visitor ticket. Members should only register guests who have already secured a visitor ticket for the match.

ADDITIONAL DINING OPTIONS
MCC members and their guests can access a range of additional dining facilities in the MCC Members’ Reserve on match days at the MCG with no booking required.

Getting to the ‘G

To ensure you are inside the Ground in time for the match start, arrive early and leave plenty of time for the entry process.

If you have reserved a seat, download your seat ticket prior to your arrival. To gain entry into the match, scan your physical or digital membership card at the turnstiles.

PARKING IN YARRA PARK
No general public parking is available for this match. Parking is available for accessibility and accredited passholders only.

TRAIN AND ROAD DISRUPTIONS
Road closures
Wurundjeri Way southbound from Dudley Street to Flinders Street will be closed overnight from 8.00pm.

PRECINCT ROAD CLOSURES
  • Brunton Avenue will be closed from 5.00pm to 11.30pm
  • Jolimont Street and Jolimont Terrace will be closed from 
  • Vale Street will be closed from 5.00pm to 11.30pm
  • Wellington Parade will be closed from 10.20pm to 10.50pm

At the ‘G

  • The MCG is a cashless venue. All food, beverage, merchandise and ticketing outlets will be cashless – so all transactions will need to be made on your debit or credit card.
  • The MCG is a smoke, e-cigarette and vape free venue. Patrons found smoking or vaping inside the Ground will face immediate eviction.
  • At the MCG, your safety is our priority. If you experience any form of antisocial behaviour, please report it by texting 'Assist' to the MCG's antisocial text hotline on +61 409 117 621.

FLASHING LIGHT AND PYROTECHNICS WARNING
Please note, flashing lights and pyrotechnics will be used throughout this match at the MCG.

AUSTRALIAN SPORTS MUSEUM
The Australian Sports Museum is open for those attending the match from gate opening (listed above) until 15 minutes before the match start time.

Tickets for the Australian Sports Museum are half price and can be purchased on the day inside Gate 3 at the MCG. The Museum showcases the best of Australian sports including AFL, cricket and the Olympics.

Be sure to arrive early to make the most of your visit.

MCC MUSEUM AND MCC LIBRARY
The MCC Library and MCC Museum are open to members and their guests on match days at the MCG.

The MCC Library is located on Level 3 of the Members’ Reserve, whilst the MCC Museum, is located on Level B1.

The G’ TRAIN MOBILITY SHUTTLE SERVICE
The G-Train Mobility Shuttle Service operates during public events held at the MCG.

The service is free and accessible to patrons with mobility challenges. The G-Train also features vehicles with wheelchair-friendly access.

Pre-booking is not required; simply wait at a designated pick up point for the next available buggy. The service has pick up points from the following locations:

  • Jolimont Station
  • Accessible Parking Area

SENSORY FRIENDLY SPACE
A Sensory Friendly Space is located within the Australian Sports Museum on Level 1 of the Olympic Stand (behind M51, inside Gate 3). This is a space for patrons of all ages who have sensory sensitivities, processing differences, or other hidden disabilities.

There are two rooms within the space offering patrons the ability to choose between quietly watching the event in a tiered theatre or using personal sensory strategies and fidget toys to relax in a multi-purpose room.
