The Long Room Wine and Food Society’s Annual Dinner will be held in the Members’ Dining Room with pre-dinner drinks in the Long Room on Wednesday May 7, 2025 at 7.00pm for a 7.30pm start.
The dinner will feature some superb wines from the society’s cellar selected by our Wine and Food Master, Michael Ellis and Cellar Master, Andrew Mason. The wines will be complemented by a magnificent menu selected by Delaware North and Michael Ellis.Our guest speaker for the evening will be Chief Winemaker at the House of Arras, Ed Carr.
Ed Carr stands as an iconic figure in the Australian wine industry. His name is synonymous with excellence and innovation in the world of sparkling wine, particularly within the context of Tasmania's unique terroir. Ed Carr was crowned Sparkling Winemaker of the Year in 2024 at the International Wine Challenge, making him the first Australian and only the second non-Champagne winemaker to receive the title. Ed’s work at the House of Arras has not only elevated the brand to international acclaim but has also positioned Tasmania as a premier region for sparkling wine production.

Cost: Members: $105. Guests: $150.
Guests: Members may bring up to three guests to the function.
Dress code: Although we encourage black-tie for the evening, Long Room attire will be acceptable.
