Women of the MCC Women in Football

The Women of the MCC Committee is delighted to invite you to join us for our Women in Football function on Saturday May 10, 2025.

This is a unique and inspiring Mother's Day celebration where we will explore the journey of motherhood through the eyes of mothers who have raised and nurtured their children to play football at a professional level.

Hear first-hand from the mothers of Melbourne Football Club players, as they share their personal stories and insights into raising children who have gone on to become elite athletes.

Held before the highly anticipated Melbourne v Hawthorn match, this two-course lunch offers an opportunity to connect with other passionate football fans while gaining a deeper understanding of the sacrifices behind the success of some of the league’s top players. Half time catering, 2.5 hour beverage package and a Level 2 reserved seat are also included.

This special panel discussion will give attendees a rare glimpse into the challenges, sacrifices, and triumphs that these extraordinary mothers have experienced. Learn about the unbreakable bond they share with their sons as they navigate the world of professional sports.

Whether you’re a mother yourself, a football fan, or simply interested in hearing the stories from mothers who have played a pivotal role in shaping the careers of their children, this function is one not to be missed. Book your spot now and celebrate Mother's Day in a truly memorable way!
