Members' Golf Day results

Once again our members were fortunate to draw a beautiful afternoon of weather to navigate the splendid Kingston Heath Golf Course for this year’s President’s Cup.

With a full field, members enjoyed a light lunch prior to taking on the challenging Kingston Heath course. However, they were given relief throughout the afternoon with on-course refreshments keeping them well hydrated.

At the end of the day, members moved into the dining room to enjoy a delicious sit-down dinner, cold beverages and to review their day’s achievements and challenges!  Prizes were awarded throughout the dinner for individual and team events, longest drive and nearest the pin with some fabulous prizes on offer.

Club CEO, Stephen Gough, hit a magical hole-in-one on the 19th hole but declined the prize for nearest the pin, and so it was awarded to Phillip King.

The best score for the day’s play was in fact enjoyed by club manager, Mark Anderson, who achieved a spectacular 42 Stableford points. However, he was ruled ineligible for the win and so it was awarded to the next best score.

Former committeeman Peter Mitchell took out the President’s Cup for the third time with 39 Stableford points.  Peter last won the cup back in 2005 and prior to that in 1995.
