Thank you to our volunteers!

The Melbourne Cricket Club will be celebrating the invaluable contribution of our 365 volunteers as part of National Volunteers Week from May 20-26.

From delivering tours, working in the National Sports Museum and celebrating our club’s great history in the MCC Museum and MCC Library, the selfless work of our volunteers underpins our goal to provide visitors with a memorable experience every time they visit the MCG.

MCC CEO Stuart Fox paid tribute to the many volunteers who contribute each year.

"Their hard work, dedication and commitment has played a vital role in the MCC achieving domestic and global recognition for its first-class customer service," Mr Fox said.

"A total of 13,510 shifts were completed by our volunteers over the past year, which equates to a total of 44,745 hours of service. Over half of our volunteers have currently been volunteering at the MCG for over a decade - that is true dedication."

The diverse pool of volunteers demonstrates how sport can unite generations past and present, with the age range spanning from 28-years-old to our oldest volunteer, who is 95.

It is our passionate volunteers who create a special experience for the thousands who take MCG tours or visit the National Sports Museum each year.

The MCC would like to thank all of our wonderful volunteers for the sacrifices they personally make and the time, energy and passion they devote to the MCG.
