The Melbourne Cricket Club is saddened to learn of the passing of former MCG Trustee and long-time MCC member, Tom Reynolds.
Mr Reynolds was an active contributor to sport and politics. Serving as Shadow Minister for Sport, Recreation and Racing from 1982-1988 and returning to the position in 1991 before moving to the ministerial office in 1992.It was during this period that Mr Reynolds became a member of the MCG Trust – the government-appointed governors of the Melbourne Cricket Ground. He served as a Trustee from December 1992 until the restructure of the Trust in 1998.
Mr Reynolds was also a 50-year member of the MCC, gaining membership in 1955.
A State Memorial Service for Mr Reynolds will be held in the MCC Members’ Dinging Room at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Tuesday April 12, 2022. For further details please click here.
