The MCC is saddened to learn of the passing of the Club’s oldest member, Trevor Burgess, who passed away on Tuesday June 7.
Mr Burgess, at 105 years of age, was the Club’s oldest member.The Western Bulldogs fan loved to attend the football – where he watched his beloved Western Bulldogs claim two premierships, and the cricket – with Mr Burgess a regular at the Boxing Day Test, with Day 1 also falling on his birthday.
Mr Burgess was also a passionate bowls player, joining the MCC Bowls Section in July 1998 and remaining a member since. He will be greatly missed by the entire MCC Bowls Section.
The Club wishes to extend its sympathies to Mr Burgess’ sons – Kim, Tony and Fabian, and Mr Burgess’ entire family.
