A State Memorial Service to honour the life of Ron Barassi AM will be held at 11 am on Friday 10 November, at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).
A State Memorial Service to honour the life of Australian Football League (AFL) legend Ronald (Ron) Dale Barassi AM will be held at 11 am on Friday 10 November 2023, at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).Ron was the first player inaugurated into the Australian Football Hall of Fame as a ‘Legend’ and awarded the same status in the Sport Australia Hall of Fame.
It is only fitting that we gather to say farewell at the MCG where Ron so often played and coached the game he loved.
Family, friends, colleagues, and supporters are invited to attend the State Memorial Service to recognise the impact of Ron's life, members of the public will be able to register to attend the Service.
