The Melbourne Cricket Club congratulates its members who have been formally recognised nationally, named on the 2024 Australia Day Honours List for outstanding service across a broad range of organisations, sectors and communities.
A number of members from each MCC membership category were formally acknowledged on January 26 for their service across a diverse range of industries including sport, medicine, emergency services, law, media, architecture, business and economics, recognising their invaluable contributions, and imbued with a determination to drive positive change among the community.Member of the MCG Trust, James MacKenzie, was appointed as an officer of the Order of Australia (AO) in recognition of his distinguished service to business and to public administration through various leadership roles.
MCC Honorary Cricket members Christina Matthews and Zoe Goss were recognised for significant service to cricket, with Matthews appointed a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) in the General Division, while Goss was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM).
