Parking in Yarra Park unavailable in Round 21

To preserve the condition of the heritage-listed Yarra Park, there will be no parking available in Yarra Park for this weekend's Round 21 matches.

Car parking will be unavailable for Saturday's match between Collingwood and Carlton, and Sunday's match between Essendon and Fremantle.

No general public, accessibility, staff or accredited parking will be permitted in Yarra Park this weekend.

This decision is due to the recent wet weather conditions and inclement forecast, making Yarra Park waterlogged and unsafe for parking cars in its current state. Please see the additional information below to find the best route to the MCG this weekend.

Alternative Parking Options

Patrons requiring parking are encouraged to pre-plan alternative parking or travel arrangements, with a list of nearby parking locations listed below:

Patrons who have already purchased a pre-booked accessibility car park for this match via Ticketek will receive communications directly via Ticketek regarding alternative arrangements.

Drop-off/ Pick-up location

Patrons who have a valid mobility parking permit and wish to be dropped off close to the MCG are advised to utilise the bus turning circle at the corner of Jolimont Street and Jolimont Terrace (nearest to Gate 2).

Patrons with mobility challenges can access the G-Train Mobility Shuttle Service which will operate between this location and your MCG Gate before and after the match. The G-Train also stops at Richmond Station and Jolimont Station.

The MCC will continue to monitor upcoming weather forecasts and will reassess the condition of Yarra Park at the conclusion of Round 20 to determine parking availability for upcoming matches at the MCG.
