A group of MCC members have returned from an unforgettable overseas adventure through Ireland and the United Kingdom, combining world-class sport, breathtaking landscapes and memorable friendships.
The 20-night tour offered members the unique opportunity to attend The 153rd Open Championship at Royal Portrush, and a visit to Lord’s Cricket Ground.
With several golf enthusiasts on the trip, the chance to watch the world’s best in action was inspiring, and the history and grandeur of the Members Pavilion and Long Room at the ‘Home of Cricket’ created memories that will last a lifetime.

Member reflections
For many, the trip was as much about connection as it was about the experiences.“The most enjoyable part of the tour was the comradeship and the ease with which all members interacted,” said member Graham Voss.
Member Sean O’Loughlin echoed the sentiment, highlighting the unique experiences the tour provided:
“The beauty of the Irish countryside, eating at fine restaurants I wouldn’t frequent if I hadn’t come and the chance to visit iconic sporting venues made it truly special.
“Of course, I would encourage others to come, as the tour was magnificently led and everything was organised for us.”
