The Club is delighted to introduce 1956 - the newest pre-bookable member dining restaurant located on Level 3 of the Olympic Stand.
Exclusively for MCC members, 1956 celebrates the year Australia hosted the Olympics for the first time.
Inspired by the origins of the Olympic Games, 1956 pays tribute to Greece with a Mediterranean menu that showcases the finest local ingredients.
Designed for an intimate and immersive experience, the restaurant features a state-of-the-art open kitchen, custom grills, and an imported rotisserie.
The menu highlights Victoria’s and Australia’s freshest seasonal seafood, sustainably farmed meats, and vibrant seasonal vegetables—prepared simply and elevated with Mediterranean flavors.
1956, along with the classic dining options of the Members' Dining Room, Jim Stynes Grill, Missymu by Shirley and Committee Room by Grossi* can be pre-booked for AFL match days for members and their guests.
To pre-book into one of these spaces, simply register via the MCC website at any stage during the ballot period. Should applications exceed capacity, a random ballot will occur.
Should the room capacity not be reached in the ballot period, members can continue to make a booking up until the match day, or until bookings reach capacity.
