Arrive early
To ensure you are inside the Ground in time for the match start, arrive early and leave plenty of time for the entry process.
If you have reserved a seat, download your seat ticket prior to your arrival. To gain entry into the match, scan your physical or digital membership card at the turnstiles.

Entry to the Club’s facilities will be granted on a return visit as long as it does not exceed six weeks on submission of an itinerary showing the member’s arrival to and departure from Australia. Country Festival
Celebrate regional footy at the pre-game Country Festival to be held outside the ‘G in the Yarra Park ahead of the match between Essendon and Geelong. The festival will include entertainment, an animal farm, food trucks and plenty of other activities for the whole family to enjoy.
The site will open at 11am, so make sure you get in early to check it out before heading inside the ground to watch the blockbuster clash.
Members' Dining
The registration period for the Members' Dining Room, Lucy Liu Lounge and Jim Stynes Grill for this event will open at 9.00am AEST on Monday April 17 and close at 5.00pm on the following day.
Long Room & Balcony Passes
The registration period for Long Room and Balcony Passes for this event will open at 9.00am AEST on Monday April 17 and close at 5.00pm on the following Tuesday or until all passes are exhausted.
Walk up passes can be collected (on a first come, first serve basis) from the last two Membership Services windows to the far left outside of Gate 2 on match day.
Additional dining options
MCC members and their guests can access a range of additional dining facilities in the MCC Members’ Reserve on match days at the MCG with no booking required.

The G-Train Mobility Shuttle Service
The G-Train Mobility Shuttle Service operates during public events held at the MCG.
The service is free and accessible to patrons with mobility challenges. The G-Train also features vehicles with wheelchair-friendly access.
Pre-booking is not required; simply wait at a designated pick up point for the next available buggy. The service has pick up points from the following locations:
- Richmond Station
- Jolimont Station
- Accessible Parking Area

Precinct closure - Melbourne and Olympic Parks
There will be restricted pedestrian access through Melbourne and Olympic Parks for this match due to DreamHack.
Closures to pedestrian pathways at Melbourne Park will affect guests approaching the MCG via Olympic Boulevard. Guests ticketed to Gate 1 and 2 should use the Rod Laver Arena external concourse to access their gate. Guests ticketed to Gates 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 should use the John Cain Arena footbridge to access their gate.

Australian Sports Museum
The Australian Sports Museum is open for those attending the match from gate opening (listed above) until 15 minutes before the match start time.
Tickets for the Australian Sports Museum are half price and can be purchased on the day inside Gate 3 at the MCG. The Museum showcases the best of Australian sports including AFL, cricket and the Olympics.
Be sure to arrive early to make the most of your visit.
Metro Trains Disruptions
Buses replace trains on sections of the Belgrave, Lilydale, Alamein, Frankston and Sandringham lines this Sunday.
- Passengers should allow extra time when travelling to and from the MCG.
- Please be aware after the game there may be increased congestion and delays getting onto the platforms at Richmond and Jolimont stations.
- Passengers are advised to return to where they got off the bus prior.
