Arrive early
To ensure you are inside the Ground in time for the match start, arrive early and leave plenty of time for the entry process.
If you have reserved a seat, download your seat ticket prior to your arrival. To gain entry into the match, scan your physical or digital membership card at the turnstiles.

Overseas members
Members who have been placed on the Overseas membership list do not automatically have entry rights during the AFL season. Entry to the Club’s facilities will be granted on a return visit as long as it does not exceed six weeks on submission of an itinerary showing the member’s arrival to and departure from Australia. Emergency Services Match
Get ready for an action-packed Emergency Services Match when the Hawks take on the Dees and we give thanks to the workers and volunteers who protect and serve the Victorian community.
Be there from 12:30pm to enjoy all the FREE family fun and festivities in our Emergency Services Fan Zone in the MCG’s Yarra Park outside Gate 3. There’s a special performance by Chase and Marshall from PAW Patrol, plus exciting demonstrations and activities from all Victoria’s Emergency Services, live music, food trucks, giveaways, and much more!
Be in your seat from 4pm for an unforgettable day of footy and entertainment! Before the game, we’ll showcase Victoria’s emergency services as we welcome key personnel and the motorcade. At half time, you can show your thanks to as our emergency services workers and volunteers take to the field for a lap of honour, plus a special performance by Rob Mills.
This is a celebration for everyone, whether you're a footy fan or simply want to show your support for our Emergency Services personnel. See you there!
Members' Dining
The registration period for the Members' Dining Room, Lucy Liu Lounge and Jim Stynes Grill for this event will open at 9.00am AEST on Monday May 1 and close at 5.00pm on the following day.
Long Room & Balcony Passes
The registration period for Long Room and Balcony Passes for this event will open at 9.00am AEST on Monday May 1 and close at 5.00pm on the following Tuesday or until all passes are exhausted.
Walk up passes can be collected (on a first come, first serve basis) from the last two Membership Services windows to the far left outside of Gate 2 on match day.
Additional dining options
MCC members and their guests can access a range of additional dining facilities in the MCC Members’ Reserve on match days at the MCG with no booking required.

General public parking is available for this match.

Parking in Yarra Park is subject to capacity. The MCG encourages patrons to arrive early and allow plenty of time to ensure you are inside the ground for the match start. Parking gates will close at the conclusion of the first quarter, unless capacity is reached prior.

Brunton Avenue: 3.00pm-4.35pm and 7.15pm-8.15pm
The G-Train Mobility Shuttle Service
The G-Train Mobility Shuttle Service operates during public events held at the MCG.
The service is free and accessible to patrons with mobility challenges. The G-Train also features vehicles with wheelchair-friendly access.
Pre-booking is not required; simply wait at a designated pick up point for the next available buggy. The service has pick up points from the following locations:
- Richmond Station
- Jolimont Station
- Accessible Parking Area

2023 AFL Premiership Season Round 9 - Hawthorn v Melbourne
Australian Sports Museum
The Australian Sports Museum is open for those attending the match from gate opening (listed above) until 15 minutes before the match start time.
Tickets for the Australian Sports Museum are half price and can be purchased on the day inside Gate 3 at the MCG. The Museum showcases the best of Australian sports including AFL, cricket and the Olympics.
Be sure to arrive early to make the most of your visit.
Metro Trains Disruptions
Buses replace trains on sections of the Belgrave and Lilydale lines this Saturday.
- Passengers should allow extra time when travelling to and from the MCG.
- Please be aware after the game there may be increased congestion and delays getting onto the platforms at Richmond and Jolimont stations.
- Passengers are advised to return to where they got off the bus prior.
