Looking for a December activity for the family? Kids go FREE into the Members' Reserve for the Melbourne Stars' first BBL match of the season at the 'G against the Brisbane Heat on Wednesday December 18.

MCC kids’ summer of cricket

The summer of cricket is here and the kids are taking over Tower 6!

From gates open until the first ball, bring the kids to Tower 6 where you’ll find activities, pizza specials, giveaways and more!

    DINING AVAILABLE FOR PRE-BOOKING
    For this match, dining reservations are available in the Members' Dining Room and Jim Stynes Grill.

    Dining applications for this match are open from 9.00am Monday December 2. 

    Please note, Members’ Reserve dress standards apply in the Members’ Dining Room during BBL and WBBL matches. Long Room dress standards will apply for access to the Long Room.

    ADDITIONAL DINING OPTIONS
    MCC members and their guests can access a range of additional dining facilities in the MCC Members’ Reserve on match days at the MCG with no booking required.

    CULTURAL FOOD OFFERINGS
    MCG food outlets will feature a range of additional cultural food offerings throughout the 2024/25 summer of cricket including a cheese and spinach roll, samosas with mint chutney, a chicken tikka burger, tandoori chicken baguette and more.

    Long Room passes are available for this match. Applications open 9.00am Monday December 2.

    Getting to the ‘G

    To ensure you are inside the Ground in time for the match start, arrive early and leave plenty of time for the entry process.

    PARKING IN YARRA PARK
    General public parking is available for this match. Parking costs $10, payable via EFTPOS upon arrival.

    Parking for disability permit holders can be pre-booked via Ticketek here.

    ROAD CLOSURES
    The following road closures will be in place around the MCG for this event:
    • Brunton Avenue: 5:00pm-6:00pm & 10:10pm-11:10pm

    At the ‘G

    • You will be required to enter via the gate listed on your ticket.
    • The MCG is a cashless venue. All food, beverage, merchandise and ticketing outlets will be cashless – so all transactions will need to be made on your debit or credit card.
    • The MCG is a smoke, e-cigarette and vape free venue. Patrons found smoking or vaping inside the Ground will face immediate eviction.
    • At the MCG, your safety is our priority. If you experience any form of antisocial behaviour, please report it by texting 'Assist' to the MCG's antisocial text hotline on +61 409 117 621.

    FLASHING LIGHTS AND PYROTECHNICS WARNING
    Please note, flashing lights and pyrotechnics  will be used throughout this match at the MCG.

    MULTI-FAITH PRAYER ROOM
    The MCG Multi-Faith Prayer Room is open to all patrons and located on Level B1 of the Shane Warne Stand (approximately behind bay M13).

    Accessibility

    The G’ TRAIN MOBILITY SHUTTLE SERVICE
    The G-Train Mobility Shuttle Service operates during public events held at the MCG.

    The service is free and accessible to patrons with mobility challenges. The G-Train also features vehicles with wheelchair-friendly access.

    Pre-booking is not required; simply wait at a designated pick up point for the next available buggy. The service has pick up points from the following locations:
    • Richmond Station
    • Jolimont Station
    • Accessible Parking Area

    SENSORY FRIENDLY SPACE
    A Sensory Friendly Space is located within the Australian Sports Museum on Level 1 of the Olympic Stand (behind M51, inside Gate 3). This is a space for patrons of all ages who have sensory sensitivities, processing differences, or other hidden disabilities.

    There are two rooms within the space offering patrons the ability to choose between quietly watching the event in a tiered theatre or using personal sensory strategies and fidget toys to relax in a multi-purpose room.
