The Melbourne Cricket Club’s (MCC), along with that of the MCG’s hospitality partner Delaware North, commitment to feature the best flavours Melbourne has to offer has been bolstered by a number of new hospitality additions to the MCG ahead of the 2023 AFL Premiership Season.
The MCC is pleased to officially welcome local Melbourne specialty coffee roasters, Industry Beans as its new coffee partner, along with a host of other food offerings including the addition of famed Melbourne restaurant Lucy Liu for MCC members on match days.The Club is proud to celebrate the multi-cultural flavours that Melbourne embraces and also feature the very best Victoria has on offer in terms of producers and products, elevating the experience for all fans who attend the MCG, aligning Melbourne’s greatest loves – sport, food and coffee.
Direct from their Melbourne roastery alongside their flagship café in Fitzroy, Industry Beans coffee is delivered fresh and direct to the MCG, with the Fitzroy Street Blend distributed and then served across the 35 locations inside the venue on match days, and at Trumble Bar and Café and Paddock Café on non-match days.
Industry Beans co-founders, brothers Steve and Trevor Simmons, are committed to providing the ultimate coffee experience at a venue that is so intrinsically linked to the people of Melbourne.
“My brother Steve and I have been visiting the MCG since we were kids,” Trevor said.
“We've always believed fans coming to such an iconic venue deserve to have the ultimate coffee experience, combining two of Melbourne’s greatest loves - sport and coffee.
“Now through this partnership, we’re proud to be serving the same premium quality coffee we do in our own cafes, at the MCG.”
The Lucy Liu Lounge, located in the Ponsford Stand on Level 3 of the MCG, opens from Saturday March 18 and is available to be booked exclusively by MCC members as a dining option on match days.
Lucy Liu Lounge is a border hopping dining experience of South East Asian share plates designed to be eaten banquet style by friends and family.
Taking inspiration from the best of cuisines all across southern Asia, Lucy Liu Lounge will give members and their guests an experience which is both comforting and exhilarating.
Executive Chef and co-owner, Zac Cribbes, describes his vision for Lucy Liu Lounge to bring a new standard to stadium dining experiences.
“I see Lucy Liu Lounge as being a brand new style of stadium dining,” Zac said.
“We want to bring the laneway Melbourne experience to the MCG, where you can enjoy the best that Melbourne has to offer in terms of shared style Pan Asian dining within a traditionally western food environment.
“Melbourne’s cultural diversity is one its greatest strengths and we look forward to having our brand help reflect that to the MCC members.”

MCC Chief Executive Stuart Fox said the Club’s new hospitality partners reflect the full Melbourne experience fans can expect when coming to the MCG.

The MCC has also introduced the following additional new food offerings available for the 2023 AFL Premiership Season:
Barassi Café: Melbourne based SPQR pizza franchise has introduced its artisanal wood fired pizzas into the Barassi Café. Located in B-24 of the Shane Warne Stand for AFL Members.
Lamb Paddock: The MCC and Meat and Livestock Australia has partnered to deliver an outlet that offers a range of products that feature the best in Australian Lamb. Located in B-44 of the MCC Members’ Reserve.
Snag Bar: A new retail outlet featuring premium hand crafted snags, crusty rolls and premium condiments. Located in 4-34 Level 4 of the Ponsford Stand.
